For a week or two period every year near the middle of June, there is a field up by the mountains that is filled with poppies. They were brought here in a covered wagon by a pioneer woman back in the day and they have taken over an area by what used to be her home. It is gorgeous. I was out of town last week so I missed the poppies in their prime (at least for photographing my kiddos) but I went Saturday night with this little cutie and we got a few decent shots with the poppies that were left. Love how whimsical this field is...playful and unexpected right?
