Well hello there! I'm Summer, a Salt Lake City, Utah based photographer and photography educator who specializes in kids, lifestyle, and portraiture. I am inspired by the quirky stuff kids do, weird and wonderful human connections, pretty light, and the great outdoors. Utah and all of its amazing landscapes is the perfect place for me to merge these elements in my work. As an intuitive mom of four kiddos of my own, I'm a pro at walking into tough, high-pressure situations with less than cooperative kids and making my client's vision come to life. When I'm not creating, I’m running Illuminate Classes (which I founded and own) and teaching the Magic of Light Workshop. In my free time, I seek out every opportunity to hang outside in the sunshine, exploring, and going on adventures with my friends and family.

I shoot with a Canon R5,  Canon 24-70 2.8 ii, Canon 135 2.0, Canon 85 1.4, Canon 50 1.2, Canon 35L 35 1.4, Canon 28 1.8,  Canon TS-E 24 3.5, Canon RF 16-35 2.8, and Aquatech housing for my R5. I also shoot with the Fuji xt5 on ocassion.
