I was craving to get outside in pretty light so we attempted a little hike. It lasted about 10 minutes before my kids were all in tears or nearly there because of the cold. Sigh...here comes winter I guess....I like the warmth too much!

It was crazy hair day at school for the older kids today. We were in such a rush to get to school on time that we didn't get a photo of them but she felt left out of the fun. She begged to have crazy hair too. So we did a little crazy to her hair and off she went to preschool...the lone crazy hair kid in her class.

Sometimes I get frustrated by the GIANT creative messes my 8 year old leaves everywhere she goes. It's constant. She always has some project going on in fact this one was created in the 20 minutes of free time she had before school this morning. And sometimes, after she's off to school, scenes like this stop me dead in my tracks. She's a cool kid. I admire her. She's a maker....

I think I say this every month but I am so grateful for this project that Parikha Mehta invited me to be in this year. Once a month, I get in picture WITH my kids. Every month I put it off until the night before because it's HARD for me. It's hard to not be in total control of how the image looks and it's out of my comfort zone to be in front of the camera,  BUT every month I am SO grateful to have these images.  This month is no different. I know I wouldn't be doing this consistently if I didn't have a deadline every month. Next month I HAVE to make sure I get one of me and my oldest. He has yet to appear in the project. :)
