She was enjoying watching her "walking pony" walk across the windowsill. She even put a pillow below just in case he fell off because she's thoughtful like that. :)

Sitting on her new "big girl bed" looking at her sisters iPod totally obvious to me snapping away at her messy uneven braids.
Somedays I can't pick just one image and I may stop trying. A family hike is not always easy. At least one person complains almost the whole time but it's still worth it to me. I think helps my kids learn that they can do hard things and that is a VERY important lesson to learn.
She is pretty proud of herself on her pedal-less bike...
Needless to say, we laughed a lot today... #allfourinoneframe
When you live in a cul-de-sac, you most likely get too comfortable with walking in the middle of the road.
I have to turn the microbiology side of my brain off when my kids play in here....and that memory of a "sleeping" deer floating by.
Friend birthday party success...
This guy never wants to be photographed....so when he jumped in front of my camera in an attempt to annoy me and keep me from getting my intended shot, I took full advantage.
I stole a moment between him and his girls who adore him on our evening hike...
I love my neighborhood. It's more like a little community full of kids and involved parents. Everyone looks out for one another…AND we have lots of fun and do things like this. It's the annual summer movie night in the park.
Today I wanted some peace and quiet so bad that upon returning from "free slurpee day" at 7-11, I let them all get out and go inside while I stayed behind and sipped on my Diet Coke in my locked car. It wasn't long before they all came out into the garage to get me out. So much for that idea I guess.
I'm still trying to get used to not having a crib in the house anymore…
This gal is getting braver and braver at the pool…braver than she should be actually.
On the morning of her fourth birthday, she woke up in a crib. She got a new bed for her birthday. I had to talk her into wanting a big girl bed. It's time but my heart ached watching this crib that all four of my babies slept in and put teeth marks on in being carried out of the house….the end of an era for me.
I have learned while doing this project that somedays it is really hard to choose one image. I shot very few images yesterday as I was just trying to enjoy the holiday and family time. I just wanted to be there and not try to capture it. I have a definite fav for the day. I am including that one….but then there is one with all four in the frame. That is hard to come by so I'm including that as well.
